Jenny’s Diary on the Field Trip

Dear Diary,

What a wonderful day it was !  You know, I had a great field trip today.  I went to Pi-shan Yan with Grandpa and Danny.  It was high in the mountains, so it took us one hour to reach there.  I didn’t feel really tired, but Danny kept saying he couldn’t move any more.  Grandpa told us “no pains, no gains.”  That is a very good proverb and I’ll try to keep it in mind.  For example, I want to get good grades so that I need to study harder.

I also felt like a treasure hunter there. Grandpa helped us to find some famous locations.  Ta-hu Park looked like a mirror and we could see the reflections of all the hills around in it.  The view was really beautiful and peaceful just like a postcard. Keelung River was like a long strip of blue ribbon meandering through Taipei.  The Riverside Park along it looked quite interesting.  Grandpa promised me that he would bring me there next weekend.

We had snack in McDonald’s.  I ate some nuggets and an apple pie.  They were yummy.  Oh!  I am sleepy now.  Tomorrow is Monday again.  I need to go to school.  I really hope every day is Sunday, but it is really impossible.  OK!  I’ll hit the sack.
